What’s a Challenge Coin and what the heck do I do with it?

Borrowed from the long time military tradition of unit challenge coins, TheOfficeSquad®  challenge coin is issued to small business owners and those that support them who accept the challenge to double their revenue in 2012. 

The goal of the coin is to build camaraderie among small business owners and help them focus on their goal to grow their business.  After all, small business is the heart of America!

What do you do with it?  Carry it in your pocket at all times, for you never know when someone may issue a challenge.  Ladies, don’t drop it in your purse – you’ll not see it.  Keep it where you can see or feel it, in order to stay focused.  It won’t do any good sitting at home or on your desk at work.

Here’s the fun part.  Issuing or participating in a challenge.  While you are out and about at networking events, lunch with a colleague or perhaps a one on one with another business owner; take out your coin and tap it on the table, bar, wall; whatever is handy.  If that person or anyone around has a coin, they will do the same.  Imagine an entire networking event tapping their coins.  Would that not get people motivated!

In the military world, if you don’t have your coin you buy drinks for those that do.  I suppose we could try that in the civilian business world but I’m not sure it would be accepted.  We’ve taken a different approach.  If an executive member of TheOfficeSquad® is at the event; they will have a little something for those that have their coin.  If you don’t have a coin, we’ll get you one.  Just call, e-mail or come by our Las Vegas Office for your free coin.  If you lose your coin, there is a $5.00 replacement charge.
